MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT |
|
Greetings from all of us at Westland. It is our belief that “a Life Worth Living is a Life Worth Remembering”®. As such, it is our mission is to assist families in properly memorializing their departed loved ones through Westland's personalized beautification and maintenance services at the final resting place.
As a youngster, every Sunday after Church we, as a family, would visit and care for the gravesite of my grandparents in Hope Cemetery in Worcester, Massachusetts. My dad, the oldest of 3 boys, was orphaned at the age of 9 and even at that early age he fought feverishly to keep he and his brothers together. Raised by an aunt after having been placed in foster care for several years, visiting and caring for his mom and dad's grave was always a priority for my dad. It was not until he died suddenly at the age of 51 in 1965 (I was 19 years old at the time), did I truly realize how important respectful remembrance was for me to live on and make him proud, as he said to me each day as he left for work. I have made many difficult and challenging decisions as I sat at the edge of my dad's gravesite in Worcester, Massachusetts hoping that the decision I was about to make was the right one.
I am pleased to say each major decision based upon much thought and deliberation made by me has not only been positive, but life-changing in many ways. I will never forget for a moment the love and sacrifices my dad and mom (departed February 4, 2002) made for me and the family.
I have and will continue always to assure that personalized care and respectful remembrance are ongoing at their gravesite and so too will Westland do the same for you and your loved ones now and in the future. I guarantee it. Respectfully, Philip G. Haddad, Jr. President & Founder
